The name Windigo Falls comes from the word algonquin meaning “cannibal giant of the forest”. The falls, consisting of a huge rock over which the water of Windigo Creek flows, form a large natural water slide. Near the falls, a walking trail allows you to walk along the Windigo River andsee other falls that are more modest and afootbridge gives you access to both sides of the Windigo River. During the winter season, the falls offer an enchanting spectacle not to be missed!
