Transport yourself to the beginning of the 20th century on a historical journey to discover the origins of Mont-Laurier. You will walk through the streets of the city center to admire the emblematic buildings that still stand in time. At each point you will be able to listen to an explanatory narration of each historical place of the circuit. The 1.70 km long route, with 12 audio clips, starts at 425 du Pont Street, in front of the current offices of the MRC d’Antoine-Labelle. The Mont-Laurier exhibition center

Contemporary art lovers? Come and discover the Mont-Laurier exhibition center. Housed in the former chapel of the Benedictine nuns’ abbey. The center will cater to both art lovers and those interested in learning. The staff will be happy to welcome you from March 30 to June 7, 2023 to present the exhibition “Arrêt sur image” by the artist Marianne Pon-Layus, combining painting and drawing in a colorful and subversive female universe. You can also take the opportunity to admire the museum space of the Benedictine nuns of Mont-Laurier located in the same building, but accessible via the tourist information office. If you prefer to enjoy the fresh air, ancient heritage monuments can be identified with a trail of eight interpretive panels recounting the life of the nuns at the back of the building.
