Simply Enjoy The Winter

Do you love winter?

If you are one of those people who love winter activities, you will not be disappointed in the Upper-Laurentians. There are tons of activities available to you to enjoy the magnificent landscapes of our territory! We have over 300 kilometres of ski trails of all kinds and over 250 kilometres of snowshoe trails. You will be able to get away from it all among the fluffy forests of our regional and municipal parks, our wildlife reserves and outdoor centres. Do you want to be different from the ordinary? Why not try a fatbike or a sled dog!

Roll up the miles on a quad or snowmobile

We have everything you need to satisfy your quad or snowmobile touring needs! Located at the crossroads of the Abitibi, Outaouais and Mauricie regions, the Upper-Laurentians offer hundreds and hundreds of kilometres of comfortable accommodations and welcoming outfitters. Also, discover unique natural spectacles thanks to Devil’s Mountain, Baskatong Reservoir, Curières Lake Falls and Windigo Falls by walking our magnificent forest trails. Need help getting organized? Contact us for more information!

Do you like warmth and comfort?

For those who are more comfortable, we have what you need! Take advantage of our spa accommodations or book the Marie-Louise Lake Baths for a relaxing and intimate getaway. We also have a ton of unusual accommodations (Hobbit House, Dome, Yurt) to get you out of the everyday. Take advantage of your stay in the region to visit our well-known flavour artisans such as Miels d’Anicet or to treat yourself in our gastronomic restaurants such as Maison Cachée and Lémarettes. Finish it all off with a show at L’Espace Théâtre, a little trip to the Centre d’Exposition de Mont-Laurier, and why not, an evening of board games at l’Entropique!

Test the ice fishing

Catch fish this winter with ice fishing: a heritage activity that has allowed the various peoples of the North to survive and is now a great opportunity to get together with friends and family to experience our northern nature. Several places on the territory offer packages with equipment and cabin rentals and lodging possibilities such as the Base de plein air Cockanagog, the Club Fontbrune, the Pourvoirie Col Vert, the Pourvoirie Michel Saint-Louis and the Chalets Rapides des Cèdres.
