Ski And Snowshoe In The Upper-Laurentians!

If you are one of those people who love winter activities, you will not be disappointed in the Upper-Laurentians. There are tons of activities available to you to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of our territory! We have over 300 kilometers of ski trails of all kinds and over 250 kilometers of snowshoe trails. You will be able to get away from it all in the fluffy forests of our regional and municipal parks, our wildlife reserves and our outdoor centers.

Among our most popular trails, you will first find the Devil’s Mountain Regional Park. You can enjoy dozens of kilometers of ski trails in an enchanting setting. Equipped with their snowshoes, the most courageous can challenge the mountain by reaching its summit to enjoy a magnificent view of the Upper-Laurentians and eat a comforting meal at the Relais de la Montagne du Diable.

Another popular place to practice these winter sports is the Centre de plein air Mont-Laurier, located 5 minutes from downtown. The Centre offers several ski and snowshoe trails that crisscross Lake Thibault and a magnificent forest.

At the Poisson Blanc Regional Park, you can venture out on snowshoeing trails or experiment with Hôk skis. Use the trails to cross the frozen surface of the reservoir and get to the lookout where you can enjoy a unique view.

In Rivière-Rouge, there is the Centre de plein air Les 6 Cantons. Put on your snowshoes or skis to explore the trails and observe the wildlife and enjoy a night’s sleep in a rustic cabin before heading out on your own.

Don’t forget the Nature Trails of Chute-Saint-Philippe where you can enjoy 4 ski trails and 6 snowshoe trails of varying difficulty. During your hike in the forest, take advantage of the Chevreuil relay and the Forest Lake relay to warm up.
